Founded in 1974 by H. E. Shaikh Khalid bin Mohamed Al-Khalifa, Speedy Motors was launched to provide motoring facilities to the residents of Bahrain.

Operating the first radio taxi service in the country, Sh Khalid’s vision initiated another first with the introduction of a metered fare system within his vehicles. This move subsequently led to the instillation of fare meters in all of Bahrain’s authorised taxis; a move which has delighted locals and tourists immensely.

Speedy Motors has built up a reputable car repair garage, offering motorists a vast range of services, including: painting, denting, detailing, valeting, mechanical repairs and additionally, a fleet of fine trucks to assist in times of an unfortunate breakdown or accident.

The company expanded into Saudi Arabia with a luxury chauffeur drive fleet 10 years ago, providing customers with a relaxing, stress free journey between the two countries. This trip proves equally popular for family shopping expeditions as for inter country business necessities.

Another important division within the Speedy Motors Group is the Car rental, offering a multitude of vehicles for a self drive rental option, or for chauffeur drive bookings.

Impressively, Speedy Motor Service has kept abreast of time with its revamped website, www.speedymotors.com ; a website portal, and a mobile app. The company’s biggest customer surprise is the recent launch of their new taxi fleet, replacing their notorious Crown Victorias with the even more spacious Ford Flex and KIA Carnival.
